
Mat Cloer
USTA Collegiate National Coach
Mat Cloer currently serves as the USTA Collegiate National Coach, a position he’s held since 2016. In his current role, Cloer assists in guiding the transition of the top female players. He coached Danielle Collins from the Fall of 2018 to Spring of 2019, during which time Collins reached the Australian Open semifinals. Cloer is also the lead coach for Mackenzie McDonald, who has reached an ATP ranking of 56 and Wimbledon Round of 16. Cloer served as an assistant coach at North Carolina State from 2013-16, and Florida State from 2007-11. Cloer played collegiate tennis at Florida State University from 2001-05. He was a two-time ACC Player of the Year and All-American, in addition to an ITA Arthur Ashe Jr. Leadership and Sportsmanship Award recipient.
